Case study

Our Work Speaks for Itself.

We measure our impact by what changes inside the organizations we work with: stronger governance, sharper reporting, clearer strategy, and teams equipped to deliver. Here is a selection of recent engagements.

IFRS sustainability transition for a diversified energy group

Client: A diversified group with operations spanning investment, energy, gas, and refining. The problem: The group faced mounting pressure to align complex, multi-entity operations with IFRS S1 and S2. Sustainability governance was fragmented, material risks were unquantified, and the board lacked a structured framework for integrating climate considerations into capital allocation and long-term strategy.

What we did: Engaged as the group’s IFRS sustainability transition advisor, we delivered an end-to-end readiness programme including group-wide materiality assessment, regulatory transition support, sustainability strategy development, and the design of a board-level strategy retreat.

The result: The group now has a phased pathway to IFRS-aligned disclosure, improved alignment across business entities, and a board that is positioned to treat sustainability as a strategic issue, not a reporting afterthought.

IFRS sustainability readiness across a financial services group

Client: A multi-entity financial services group spanning insurance, managed care, and asset management. The problem: Three distinct business lines, each with different risk profiles and data maturity, needed to converge on a shared understanding of IFRS sustainability requirements. Climate risk capabilities were underdeveloped, GHG accounting was nascent, and there was no common language across entities for sustainability reporting.

What we did: Delivered a three-day in-person IFRS S1 and S2 training programme tailored to the group’s operations and developed an initial sustainability adoption roadmap.

The result: Group-wide assessment performance improved from approximately 85% to 94%. More importantly, the engagement created shared understanding and alignment across entities on what IFRS sustainability adoption demands and how to get there.

IFRS sustainability compliance for an insurance and pension group

Client: A diversified insurance and pension fund administrator. The problem: The group needed to move beyond awareness and into structured implementation of IFRS S1 and S2 across both its insurance and pension businesses.

What we did: Delivered IFRS sustainability training and readiness support, prepared the 17 required readiness documents, and developed a nine-month implementation roadmap to guide Phase 2 adoption.

The result: The group now has the governance structures, data foundations, and sequenced plan needed to progress toward credible, IFRS-aligned sustainability disclosures.

Board sustainability and climate governance for an insurance company

Client: A leading insurance company. The problem: The board recognized that sustainability and climate risk had moved from peripheral to material, but lacked the technical grounding to provide effective oversight. Emerging disclosure requirements, particularly IFRS S1 and S2, demanded board-level fluency in climate governance. What we did: Delivered a focused board training programme covering sustainability integration, climate risk oversight, the board’s governance responsibilities under IFRS sustainability standards, and how sustainability connects to strategy, risk management, and disclosure. The result: The board gained the confidence and clarity to govern sustainability as a strategic issue, with defined responsibilities and a foundation for embedding climate risk into enterprise risk management and future reporting cycles.
